Patna Metro Receives ₹628.32 Crore From Centre’s Capital Investment Scheme.
Patna Metro has received a fresh financial boost, with the state government sanctioning ₹628.32 crore under a central assistance scheme to support ongoing construction and ensure timely progress of the urban transport project.
The funds have been made available under the Centre’s Special Assistance Scheme for Capital Investment for the financial year 2026-27.
Officials from the Urban Development and Housing Department said the sanctioned amount will be routed through Patna Metro Rail Corporation Limited (PMRCL) and utilised for major project-related works.
The additional funding is expected to support construction activities and help maintain the pace of work on the Patna Metro project.
The Centre’s capital investment assistance is aimed at supporting infrastructure development and enabling states to accelerate key projects with long-term economic and urban development benefits.
