Petronet Set to Earn ₹5,000 Crore from 15-Year Ethane Storage Pact with ONGC.
State-run Petronet LNG (PLL) and ONGC have signed a 15-year Ethane Unloading, Storage and Handling (USH) Services agreement, under which Petronet expects to generate ₹5,000 crore in gross revenue.
According to Petronet, the binding term sheet for the USH services will begin sometime between October and December 2028 and will continue until the 15th anniversary of the start date.
The agreement supports ONGC’s petrochemicals subsidiary, ONGC Petro Additions Ltd (OPaL), which operates one of India’s largest petrochemical complexes at Dahej, Gujarat. The facility houses a world-scale ethylene cracker unit that uses ethane as its primary feedstock.
