PM Modi Set to Inaugurate Rs. 19,100 Crore Development Projects in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch an array of development projects exceeding Rs 19,100 crore in Bulandshahr, western Uttar Pradesh, on Thursday, according to officials. The highlight of the inauguration will be the 173-km-long double-line electrified section between New Khurja and New Rewari on the dedicated freight corridor (DFC). PM Modi will initiate this milestone by flagging off goods trains from the two stations through a virtual ceremony.

The new DFC section assumes great significance as it establishes vital connectivity between the western and eastern freight corridors. Notably, it features a groundbreaking engineering achievement with a one-kilometer-long double-line rail tunnel equipped with high-rise electrification, marking a global first of its kind. This tunnel is specially designed to accommodate the seamless operation of double-stack container trains, enhancing efficiency and capacity. Shifting goods trains to the DFC track is expected to optimize the operation of passenger trains on this route.

In addition to the DFC section, PM Modi will inaugurate the fourth rail line connecting Mathura-Palwal and Chipiyana Buzurg-Dadri sections. Multiple road development projects, collectively valued at over Rs 5,000 crore, will also be inaugurated to enhance regional connectivity and spur economic development.

Among the projects on the agenda is the inauguration of Indian Oil's Tundla-Gawaria pipeline. Another notable initiative is the unveiling of the "integrated industrial township at Greater Noida" (IITGN), aligning with PM Modi's vision of integrated planning and coordinated implementation of infrastructure connectivity projects under PM-GatiShakti. Built at a cost of Rs 1,714 crore, the IITGN spans 747 acres and strategically lies near the intersection of eastern and western dedicated freight corridors, with the Eastern Peripheral Expressway to the south and the Delhi-Howrah broad gauge railway line to the east.

With the Lok Sabha polls anticipated in April-May, these projects are poised to bolster the ruling BJP's pro-development stance, particularly in the politically crucial state of Uttar Pradesh. The unveiling of these significant projects underscores the government's commitment to infrastructure development and economic growth.
