PM Modi to Launch ₹1,030 Crore Railway Projects in Tamil Nadu soon.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to dedicate railway projects worth ₹1,030 crores to Tamil Nadu this Saturday in Thoothukudi. The Prime Minister will launch three significant railway infrastructure initiatives in southern Tamil Nadu, aimed at bolstering sustainable and efficient connectivity across the region.

Among the key projects to be unveiled is the electrification of the 90-kilometer Madurai–Bodinayakkanur line, a project commissioned at a cost of ₹99 crores. This electrification is expected to promote eco-friendly transportation and boost tourism, while also significantly benefiting daily commuters, farmers, students, and small vendors in the Madurai and Theni districts.

These new infrastructure developments are part of a broader effort to modernize and expand India's railway network, facilitating smoother travel and supporting economic growth in the state.
