Projects for development of tourism in Himachal Pradesh.

The Ministry of Tourism under its schemes of Swadesh Darshan and PRASHAD provides financial assistance to State Governments/Union Territories/ Central Agencies for developing tourism infrastructure and facilities in the country.

Ministry has sanctioned the project ‘Development of Himalayan Circuit: Kiarighat, Shimla, Hatkoti, Manali, Kangra, Dharamshala, Bir, Palampur, Chamba in Himachal Pradesh’ under Swadesh Darshan scheme in 2016-17 for Rs.86.85 crores. Ministry has identified Maa Chintpurni in Himachal Pradesh for development under PRASHAD Scheme.

This information was given by the Minister of State (I/C) of Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Tourism, Shri Prahlad Singh Patel in reply to a question in Lok Sabha recently.
