Propylene Glycol Capacity Expansion for Manali Petrochemicals.

Manali Petrochemicals Limited (MPL), a leading petrochemical manufacturer and part of Singapore-based AM International, has significantly expanded its Propylene Glycol (PG) Plant. The new facility is poised to begin operations as soon as it receives the crucial "Consent to Operate (CTO)" from the Tamil Nadu State Pollution Control Board.

This strategic expansion will add an impressive 50,000 tonnes per annum (KTPA) to MPL's Propylene Glycol production capacity, substantially increasing its existing output of 22,000 KTPA. The move highlights MPL’s strong commitment to the Indian government's "Make in India" vision, by enhancing advanced manufacturing capabilities within the country.

Ashwin Muthiah, Chairman of MPL and Founder Chairman of AM International, emphasized the broader impact of this development. "The facility demonstrates our commitment to sustainable expansion, meeting evolving customer expectations, and reinforcing our market leadership," he stated. "It also reflects our focus on local manufacturing and alignment with the government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative — a step toward reducing import dependence and contributing to a resilient domestic economy."

This expansion is expected to bolster India's self-reliance in petrochemicals, providing a significant boost to the domestic industrial landscape.
