Puravankara Secures Massive 53-Acre Bengaluru Land Parcel for ₹4,800 Crore Project.

Puravankara Limited , one of India’s most prominent real estate developers, has announced a major expansion of its residential footprint with the acquisition of a 53.5-acre land parcel in Anekal Taluk, Bengaluru. The deal, located in the emerging growth corridor of Attibele Hobli, is expected to yield a potential Gross Development Value (GDV) of over ₹4,800 crore.

The acquisition features a substantial saleable area of 6.4 million square feet, reinforcing Puravankara's strategy to capture demand in micro-markets supported by rapid infrastructure development and high connectivity.

Scaling New Heights in FY26

This latest move significantly boosts the company's development pipeline for the current financial year. According to Mallanna Sasalu, CEO – South, the company had already added 6.36 million square feet of developable area across Bengaluru and Mumbai in the first half of FY26 (H1FY26), valued at ₹9,100 crore.

With the addition of the Anekal parcel, Puravankara's year-to-date portfolio expansion now stands at:

Total Developable Area: 12.76 million square feet

Combined Potential GDV: ₹13,900 crore

Strategic Expansion Across Bengaluru

The Anekal acquisition follows a series of high-value partnerships and joint developments earlier this year. These include:

North Bengaluru: A 24.59-acre project at KIADB Hardware Park in partnership with KVN Property Holdings (GDV: ₹3,300+ crore).

East Bengaluru: A 5.5-acre joint development in Balegere (GDV: ₹1,000+ crore).

Ashish Puravankara, Managing Director of Puravankara Limited, emphasized that the acquisition reflects a "disciplined approach to growth." He noted that the company is focused on systematically adding quality land to its pipeline to create large, sustainable communities in strategic markets.

Market Reaction

Following the announcement recently, Puravankara’s shares saw a positive uptick on the BSE and NSE, reflecting investor confidence in the company’s aggressive yet calibrated expansion into high-demand residential corridors.
