Raasi Green Earth to Establish 5GW Battery Park in Tamil Nadu.

Renewable energy firm Raasi Green Earth is set to build a 5 gigawatt (GW) battery park in Ramanthpuram near Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, announced Chairman and Managing Director C Narasimhan.

The company plans to collaborate with Chinese partners for technology and investment while also bringing in local investors. The battery park will produce complete battery packs, including cables, Energy Management Systems, Power Conversion Systems, and other components.

Narasimhan further revealed that Raasi Green Earth has identified a 1,000-acre land parcel in Tamil Nadu and intends to establish a purification plant to manufacture battery-grade lithium. The company has also leased two rare earth mineral mines in Zimbabwe to support its operations.
