Rado opens first store in Pakistan

Lahore: The Global Vice President Sales, Rado (the Swiss watchmaker), Peter Kaeser has said that Pakistan is an important and potential market for his company in the Middle Eastern Region. He stated this while addressing the inaugural ceremony of first Rado store.

Kaeser said the Rado Watch Company has been present in Pakistan for the last 30 years, however, the Lahore store is 33rd in the region, which was selected because of its important status in Pakistan's largest province.

'We are looking to open a number of similar stores in other cities of the country. He said the Rado Watch Company has already set up a number of exclusive stores all over the world and in line with other stores, the Lahore store will offer an exclusive selection of the brand's most celebrated products with the after-sale service facility.

Peter Kaeser said the Rado, which has 25-percent share in the Pakistan watch market planned to further expand its marketing operation to exploit the existing potential. Because of high-tech materials, designs, distribution strategy, after sale service, and other facilities, the franchise operation is rapidly growing in more than 100 countries where Rado brands are getting popularity including Pakistan, he added.

Responding to a question regarding the impact of world economic recession on the watch industry, Kaeser said the Rado sales were not suffered as much as other goods and the average sale of the Rado products is still on the rising trend.

About the marketing of fake and counterfeit watches of different prominent brands, he said fake and counterfeit watches are being produced and marketed in many countries of the South East Asian region and thus misleading the consumers.
