Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd JV Receives LOA for Rs. 438.95 Crore Order

The joint venture of M/s KRDCL and Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) has been awarded the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) by Southern Railway for the redevelopment of the Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station. The project will be carried out under the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) mode.

The total cost of the redevelopment project is INR 438,95,66,136.98/- (Rupees Four Hundred Thirty Eight Crore Ninety Five Lakh Sixty Six Thousand One Hundred Thirty Six and Paisa Ninety Eight Only), including Goods and Services Tax (GST).

This ambitious redevelopment plan aims to modernize the Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station, one of Southern Railway's busiest stations. The EPC mode allows for a comprehensive approach, where the project scope includes design, procurement, and construction, ensuring efficiency and quality in execution.

The LoA represents a significant milestone in the continued modernization of India's railway infrastructure, providing passengers with enhanced facilities and improving overall operational efficiency. The redevelopment is expected to boost connectivity and contribute to the region's economic growth.
