Reconstruction schemes executed in Logar
Pul-I-alam:Eight reconstruction projects have been completed in Logar and Laghman provinces under the National Solidarity Programme (NSP), officials said on Monday.
NSP official Eng. Abdur Rehman told Pajhwok Afghan News on Monday the schemes executed in Logar capital of Pul-i-Alam included 10 hand-pump wells to supply drinking water to residents and solar energy projects that could generate 26,000 kilowatts of electricity.
The projects were completed in Siah Koh, Atokala, Shakar, Jubak, Joni and Ibrahimkhel villages. 'The overall cost of these projects is 11 million afghanis, of which 10 percent was contributed by community members,' he revealed.
Rehman said the projects completed in three months would benefit 1,128 families.
In Alishang district of the eastern Laghman province, six projects worth 4.13 millions afghanis were successfully completed, Eng. Humayun Akseer told this news agency.
The projects include hand pump wells and reconstruction of roads. The NSP provincial head said 1,190 families would benefit from the schemes.
