Reliance to Begin Solar Power Generation from Kutch Project in First Half of FY27.

Reliance Industries Ltd will start generating solar power in the first half of the next financial year from its massive renewable energy project in Kutch, Gujarat. The project spans approximately 5,50,000 acres—an area almost three times the size of Singapore-and marks a major step in the conglomerate’s clean energy strategy.

Part of Reliance’s broader goal to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2035, the Kutch project is central to its renewable expansion plan. In an investor presentation following its second-quarter earnings announcement, the company said engineering and feasibility studies have been completed, and land development work across the site is progressing at various stages.
