Renault India, IIT Kanpur Collaborate on Vehicle Research and Development.

Renault India has announced a strategic partnership with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur to enhance its vehicle research and development capabilities in the country.

Under the collaboration, Renault India will use IIT Kanpur’s National Wind Tunnel Facility (NWTF) to conduct advanced aerodynamic and wind-noise testing for its passenger vehicles, the company said in a statement.

The partnership is aimed at supporting Renault’s engineering and innovation efforts in India by leveraging advanced testing infrastructure and research capabilities.

"This partnership marks an important step in strengthening Renault's engineering capabilities in India," Renault Group India Chief of Engineering Vikraman V said.

The collaboration is expected to help the automaker further develop vehicle performance, efficiency and refinement through advanced engineering validation and testing.
