Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) Initiates Bidding for Commercial Development Lease in Dharmavaram, Andhra Pradesh
The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA), a statutory body under Indian Railways, has officially opened the bidding process for the lease of commercial development on a vacant land parcel situated in Dharmavaram along Station Road, Andhra Pradesh.
The proposed land parcel spans approximately 14,164.50 square meters and is slated for a lease term of 45 years, with a reserved price set at ₹9.1 crore.
Ved Parkash Dudeja, Vice Chairman of RLDA, highlighted the significance of Dharmavaram as an economically resilient city, anchored by its handloom industry and agricultural activities, coupled with a vibrant cultural scene. Dudeja stated, "The land parcel we propose to lease is strategically located near the Dharmavaram Railway station, which is the primary station serving Dharmavaram, Sri Sathya Sai district."
Positioned on the approximately 15.0 meters wide Station Road, adjacent to the Chennai-Anantapur Highway (NH-716), the land parcel ensures accessibility from all parts of the city. The site falls under the jurisdiction of the Ananthapuramu Hindupur Urban Development Authority.
A pre-bid meeting, conducted online on January 5, 2024, at 11:30 hrs, witnessed substantial interest from leading developers nationwide. The bidding process allows interested parties to submit e-bids until January 22, 2024, up to 15:00 hrs.
This move by RLDA aims to unlock the potential for commercial development in Dharmavaram, leveraging its strategic location and economic vibrancy.
