The design drawn up by the Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) was approved by the Greater Cochin Development Authority (GCDA) last week. The beautification will involve, among other things, the construction of modern and disabled friendly walkways on both sides of road, a dedicated cycle path, incorporating tactile tiles to help the disabled, setting up a wide green strip on the side of the walkways, installing signage and pedestrian lights and shrub and tree planting.
