Rooftop solar unit commissioned at Calicut airport.

The Calicut International Airport has successfully commissioned a rooftop solar plant with 750 kWp capacity.

The solar plant has been developed and installed by Vikram Solar, a globally recognised solar energy solutions provider, specialising in high efficiency PV module (Photovoltaic) manufacturing and comprehensive EPC solutions.

The project has been implemented under the MNRE scheme of setting up grid-connected solar rooftop projects under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM).

The commissioning of the solar plant at the Calicut International Airport comes close on the heels of the 100 kWp rooftop solar plant installation at the Cochin International Airport, a press release said recently.
