Rothe Erde commissions Nashik facility

Nashik: Rothe Erde India Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of the ThyssenKrupp group, has commissioned its slewing bearings manufacturing facility at Gonde, 25 km from Nashik.

The company has set up the unit on 15 acres adjacent to ThyssenKrupp’s existing facility at a total investment of Rs 100 crore, a company official said

“The facility will manufacture slewing bearings with diameters ranging from 250 mm to 14.5 metres. The initial capacity will be around 1,600 tonnes per annum,” he said.

Rothe Erde is a manufacturer of slewing bearings (including ball and roller bearing slewing rings and wire-race bearings) and seamless rolled steel and non-ferrous metal rings. Its main plants are located in Dortmund and Lippstadt in Germany.
