RRP Defense and Israel’s Meprolight Form Strategic Partnership to Strengthen Defence Manufacturing.

RRP Defense Ltd and Israel-based Meprolight Ltd, a subsidiary of the SK Group and a leading global manufacturer of electro-optics and weapon-sight systems, on Thursday announced a strategic partnership to bring next-generation defence technologies to India and boost domestic manufacturing capacity. The move aligns with Israel’s broader shift from a traditional buyer-seller dynamic to deeper participation in India’s Aatmanirbharta drive in the defence sector.

According to an RRP statement, the collaboration will cover joint distribution, assembly, technology integration and future localisation of Meprolight’s advanced electro-optic systems for the Indian armed forces and law-enforcement agencies.

Under the agreement, both companies will work together on sales and distribution strategies for the Indian market, co-develop commercial plans and pricing models, and establish mutually agreed payment frameworks. Meprolight will also transfer key technologies to enable assembly, testing and integration at RRP Defense’s Mahape facility under the Government of India’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives.
