RVNL Wins ₹179 Crore Signalling Contract from IRCON.
Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) announced recently it has been awarded a significant signalling and telecommunications contract from IRCON International Limited, valued at ₹178.64 crores.
The project scope includes the comprehensive supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of signalling equipment across several railway stations and sections. A key part of the work will be installing Electronic Interlocking systems at ten new stations, including Surakachhar, Katghora Road, Bhingra, and Putuwa. The contract also calls for the installation of six new Intermediate Block Signalling systems on various block sections, such as those between Bhingra-Putuwa and Dhangawan-Pendra Road.
Following the announcement, RVNL's shares saw a slight increase in trading. The stock was at ₹324.80 on the NSE in afternoon trade, a 0.22% rise from its previous close. While the stock opened at ₹330 and hit an intraday high of ₹330.75, it later eased back. The day's trading volume was 33.21 lakh shares, with a total value turnover of ₹108.54 crores.
