RVNL Wins ₹544.64 Crore Contract for Visakhapatnam Port Road Project.

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has won a ₹544.64 crore contract from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for the construction of a six-lane access-controlled road connecting Visakhapatnam Port.

The company’s shares are expected to be in focus on Wednesday, March 12, following the announcement.

According to an exchange filing, RVNL emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for the project, which involves developing the road from Sabbavaram bypass (Anakapalli–Anandapuram corridor) to Sheelanagar junction along NH 516C in Andhra Pradesh. The project will be executed under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM), a model that blends Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) with Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT), allowing financial risk-sharing between the government and the private entity.

In a separate development, RVNL recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Abhinava Strategic Partners Pvt Ltd (ASP) to receive advisory services for infrastructure projects. The collaboration will focus on multiple sectors, including railways, highways, expressways, tunnels, bridges, airports, ports, and power transmission. Additionally, ASP will provide expertise in renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and hydropower.
