"Saatvik Green Energy Enters Solar Pump Market with Major Order from Maharashtra"

Saatvik Green Energy has teamed up with the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company to supply solar-powered submersible pumps across 250 sites throughout the state. The high-efficiency pumps, ranging from 3HP to 7.5HP, aim to improve water access for irrigation, particularly in areas with limited electricity access.

Powered solely by solar energy, these pumps will provide a continuous water supply to farmers, enhancing sustainable irrigation in remote and drought-prone areas. Prashant Mathur, CEO of Saatvik Green Energy, highlighted the benefits of solar pumps, noting that they are “not only economically viable and environmentally friendly but also empower farmers with reliable irrigation solutions.”

By reducing dependence on diesel and grid electricity, the pumps are expected to ease pressure on Maharashtra’s electricity grid and support a more resilient farming sector. Saatvik Green Energy, a leading supplier of high-quality solar PV modules, has been active in Maharashtra’s solar initiatives, supplying to developers, government projects, and commercial clients. Through contributions to the PM-KUSUM Yojana, the company has played a significant role in promoting sustainable agricultural practices.

Among Saatvik’s notable clients are industry leaders like Megha Engineering, Mahagenco, and BHEL. Recently, Saatvik secured a ₹302 crore contract with Maharashtra State Power Generation Company to supply 200 MW of N-TOPCon 580Wp modules to various locations in the state.

With a target to reach 17.4 GW of solar capacity by 2025, Maharashtra is driving solar adoption through large-scale installations, rooftop solutions, and initiatives like PM-KUSUM and the Surya Scheme.
