Aerospace major Safran Aircraft Engines is looking to strengthen its presence in India through fresh investments, expanded industrial capabilities and deeper partnerships, a senior executive said.

Speaking to businessline, Safran Aircraft Engines President Stéphane Cueille said the company’s investments in India are closely aligned with the government’s Make in India initiative.

Cueille said India has emerged as a key market for the group, driven by rapid fleet expansion as well as growing industrial opportunities across maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), supply chain activities and potential manufacturing operations.
