Sagar Cements Commission New Capacity Unit in Madhya Pradesh.

Sagar Cements (M) Pvt Ltd (SCMPL), a subsidiary of Sagar Cements, has successfully commissioned and begun commercial operations of an additional 0.5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) cement capacity at its plant in Jeerabad, Tehsil Gandhwani, Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh.

The Hyderabad-based company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange on Wednesday that, with the commissioning of the new unit, SCMPL’s total cement grinding capacity has increased from 1.0 MTPA to 1.5 MTPA.

Following the expansion, the group’s overall cement capacity now stands at 11.0 MTPA, the company said.

The latest addition is expected to strengthen Sagar Cements’ production base and support its efforts to meet growing demand in key markets.
