Sagar Cements to source limestone from Gudipadu in AP.

Sagar Cements Ltd. will be sourcing limestone for its requirements from Gudipadu village in Ananthapur district of Andhra Pradesh.

Andhra Pradesh Government had granted a mining lease for limestone over an extent of 1,123.32 acres of land in Gudipadu nearer to its plant for a period of 20 years to BMM Cements Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hyderabad based Sagar Cements.

This would enable the company to source its limestone requirements after execution of a formal lease deed with the appropriate authorities in due course, the company said in an update to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) recently.
