Sailajanath Dares CM Chandrababu Naidu for Debate on HNSS Project.

Former minister and senior Congress leader S Sailajanath has challenged chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu for an open debate on the Handri Neeva Sujala Sravanthi (HNSS) project. He reminded that the Congress government had already released water to ayacut in Nov, 2012 by completing the first phase of the project.

Taking exception to the chief minister's statement that the Congress had betrayed the people of Anantapur by not taking up the HNSS project works during its tenure, Sailajanath said the comments were completely misleading.

'It is ridiculous that Chandrababu Naidu, who had limited HNSS project just to drinking water requirements and evaded even taking up those works during his tenure, is criticising the erstwhile Congress government which had launched the first phase of the project in 2012 and released water for irrigation,' Sailajanth said in a press release recently.
