Samsonite Considers New Factory as Nashik Emerges as World’s Largest Luggage Plant.

Samsonite, one of the world’s leading hard luggage manufacturers, plans to expand capacity further with a new factory as demand continues to grow, building on its established manufacturing base in Nashik.

The company recently completed the second phase of expansion at its Nashik facility, tripling production capacity to 7 lakh pieces per month with a total investment of around ₹250 crore. The facility manufactures luggage for brands including Samsonite, American Tourister, and Kamiliant.

With a dominant 20 per cent share of the global luggage market and annual revenue of $3.6 billion, Samsonite is the world’s largest luggage company. The new expansion underscores its strategy to strengthen production capabilities in India.
