Sansera Engineering Ltd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Karnataka, committing ₹2,100 crore to expand its manufacturing capacity in Harohalli, Ramanagara. The investment, to be allocated over the next 3 to 5 years, aims to significantly boost production in both the automotive and non-automotive sectors.
The new facility, set to be developed on a 55-acre site in Harohalli, is expected to create around 3,500 direct and indirect jobs, enhancing local employment and contributing to economic growth. The expansion is projected to increase Sansera’s manufacturing capacity by approximately ₹3,000 crore.
“This MoU marks a milestone in our company’s growth trajectory. This initiative aligns with our vision of becoming a world-class engineering corporation that maximizes stakeholder value,” said S. Sekhar Vasan, Chairman & Managing Director of Sansera Engineering.
The signing ceremony was attended by M.B. Patil, Minister for Large and Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development; Dr. Selvakumar S, IAS, Principal Secretary of the Department of Commerce and Industries; and Gunjan Krishna, IAS.
Sansera Engineering currently operates over 16 manufacturing facilities and employs more than 8,000 people. With twelve of its units located in Karnataka, including Bommasandra, Bidadi, and Tumkuru, the company serves prominent clients such as Volkswagen, Honda, KTM, FCA, and Hero.
