SEPC Bags ₹673-Crore Order for SAIL Expansion Works.

SEPC Ltd, formerly known as Shriram EPC, has secured a ₹673-crore contract from the Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) for the expansion of its IISCO Steel Plant in Burnpur.

The industrial infrastructure engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company will execute two key packages under the steelmaker's 4.08 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) crude steel expansion project.

According to the company, the contract includes the Coke Oven Balance of Plant (BOP) Package – COB-3, excluding civil and structural works, valued at ₹376.56 crore. SEPC has also been awarded the Sinter Plant BOP Package – SP-2, including civil and structural works, worth ₹296.77 crore.

The combined order value of ₹673 crore is expected to strengthen SEPC's order book and reinforce its presence in the industrial infrastructure and steel sector projects segment.

The project forms part of SAIL's ongoing capacity expansion plans at its IISCO Steel Plant, aimed at enhancing crude steel production capabilities at the Burnpur facility.
