Shirdi to invest Rs 350-mn in Chennai

Dehradun: The Rs 400-crore Mumbai-based Shirdi Industries is setting up a manufacturing plant in Chennai with an investment of Rs 35 crore.

The Chennai operation is likely to improve the competitive edge of the company in the southern part of the country. The plant is expected to start operation in the 3rd quarter of FY 08-09.

The company manufactures MDF (medium density fibre) board, plain and pre-laminated particle board, decorative laminates, laminated flooring, doors and furniture components.
