Siemens secured Rs.66 crore order from NTPC

Siemens Ltd had secured an order for Rs.66 crore from NTPC for the renovation and modernization of its Korba Stage-II (3 x 500 MW) plant in Chhattisgarh.

Under the contract terms, Siemens will replace the existing system with the fourth-generation distributed control system - SPAA-T3000 (Siemens Power and Process Automation) for the entire plant, including its boiler and turbine control systems.

The SPPA-T3000 process control system combines the reliability of proven, real-time process controllers with new technologies to establish a simple and robust platform. The system is designed to provide real-time date - at the right place, at the right time - to give power plant owners and operators the information they need to make right decision,s thus proving their ability to be competitive.
