Sify Unit to Invest ₹16,466 Cr for Data Centre in Vizag.

Sify Infinit Spaces, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sify Technologies, is set to establish a major data centre in Visakhapatnam, representing a substantial investment of ₹16,466 crore. The project will unfold in two phases, with ₹1,466 crore allocated for the initial phase, and the remaining capital deployed in the second. Once fully operational, the data centre is expected to generate 600 new jobs.

This significant undertaking is among the proposals recently cleared by Andhra Pradesh's State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB), which approved projects with a cumulative investment potential of ₹20,216 crore. According to Nara Lokesh, Andhra Pradesh Minister for IT and Human Resources Development, these approved projects collectively have the potential to create a remarkable 50,600 jobs across the state.

The crucial SIPB meeting, where these large-scale investments received the green light, was chaired by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at the Secretariat in Amaravati on Wednesday.
