"Skipper Aims to Surpass as World's Largest Power Transmission Tower Manufacturer"
Skipper, a Kolkata-based company, is poised to challenge Chinese dominance in the power transmission tower manufacturing sector, with ambitions to become the world's largest manufacturer within the next five years.
In pursuit of this goal, the company is actively exploring both organic growth and strategic acquisitions abroad. Currently, Skipper is particularly interested in acquisition opportunities in North America and the Middle East, aiming to expand its presence and capabilities on a global scale.
Sharan Bansal, Director of Skipper Ltd, emphasized the company's growing international footprint, with approvals in multiple countries and utilities. With a presence in approximately 200 countries and a steadily increasing export bill, Skipper is determined to ascend to the top spot in transmission tower and pole manufacturing globally within the next half-decade.
Notably, Skipper stands out as the only integrated power transmission and distribution (T&D) structure manufacturer worldwide, covering the entire value chain. In addition to its prominence in power infrastructure, the company is also a key player in manufacturing telecom and railway structures, further solidifying its position as a comprehensive leader in the industry.
