SLB Secures Seven-Year Contract from Kuwait Oil Company for Reservoir Technologies and Digital Innovation Projects

Kuwait – October 23, 2026: Global energy technology company SLB has secured a seven-year contract from Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) under its Ahmadi Innovation Valley (AIV) initiative to advance reservoir technologies, digital innovation and upstream oilfield operations.

Announced on June 30, 2026, the agreement covers applied research, technology evaluation and deployment across nearly 100 projects involving reservoir technologies, artificial intelligence, industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), production optimisation and water management.

Under the programme, SLB will collaborate with KOC to deploy advanced technologies designed to improve reservoir understanding, enhance hydrocarbon recovery and optimise oilfield performance.

As part of the agreement, SLB plans to establish a dedicated innovation facility in Kuwait, with construction expected to commence in 2026 and operations scheduled to begin in 2028.

The contract strengthens the companies' longstanding partnership and supports Kuwait's efforts to modernise its upstream energy infrastructure through advanced digital and reservoir management solutions.

The financial value of the contract has not been disclosed.
