Adani Group announces ₹1,060+ crore cement grinding unit investment in Madhya Pradesh.

The Adani Group recently announced that it will invest over ₹1,060 crore to set up a cement grinding unit in Madhya Pradesh’s Guna district, as part of its broader ₹1.1 lakh crore investment commitment in the state.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Pranav Adani, Director at Adani Enterprises, said the plant will be developed in two phases with a total annual capacity of 40 lakh metric tonnes. The first phase is expected to be commissioned by 2028.

The company said the project is likely to generate direct and indirect employment for around 1,500 people and contribute more than ₹6,000 crore to the state exchequer over time.

The investment is part of the group’s wider expansion plan across Madhya Pradesh, covering hydro-pumped storage, cement, mining, smart meters and thermal power projects. At the Global Investors Summit in Bhopal last year, Chairman Gautam Adani had said the group’s investments could create around 1.2 lakh jobs in the state by 2030.

Pranav Adani said the Guna project marks further progress on these commitments and is expected to boost local employment and economic activity.

The group also highlighted its ongoing expansion in the state’s infrastructure and energy sectors, noting that it has already invested more than ₹4,000 crore in its Ametha and Kymor cement plants in Katni district. Adani Power currently supplies 1,200 MW of electricity to Madhya Pradesh and is preparing to add another 5,600 MW of generation capacity.

The company added that it has commissioned wind energy projects in Lahori, Dhar, Ratlam and Ujjain, and is also planning a new cement plant in Ujjain. It said its overall cement capacity currently stands at 109 MTPA and continues to expand.

The Guna unit is also expected to generate business opportunities for transport operators, suppliers and small enterprises in the surrounding region, the company said.
