Solar Surge: Indosol Aims for 10 GW by 2026 with Accelerated Expansion.
Indosol Solar Ltd is charting an aggressive expansion course, aiming to establish 10 gigawatts (GW) of solar manufacturing capacity across the entire value chain by 2026. This ambitious target is largely driven by the company's strategy to leverage government incentive schemes designed to bolster domestic solar manufacturing.
Currently, Indosol Solar operates a 500-megawatt (MW) solar module line in Andhra Pradesh and is a significant beneficiary of the government's production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme.
According to Balachander Krishnan, Chief Operating Officer of Indosol Solar, the company's existing capacity is poised to double by the end of this year. Looking ahead, Krishnan revealed in an interview on Wednesday that Indosol plans to further expand its ingots-to-modules lines by the close of next year. This integrated approach signifies a comprehensive push to scale up its presence in the rapidly growing Indian solar sector.
