South. Korea’s Hwaseung Footwear to Invest ₹898 Crore in Kuppam

South Korea’s Hwaseung Footwear, a leading global OEM supplier for Adidas and other major brands, has announced a ₹898 crore investment to set up a state-of-the-art non-leather footwear manufacturing facility in Kuppam, Chittoor district.

The greenfield project, approved by the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB), will be developed across a 100-acre industrial campus at Pogurupalle in Gudupalle Mandal, positioning Kuppam as an emerging hub for global footwear manufacturing in India.

The facility is expected to generate nearly 17,645 direct jobs, promising a major boost to economic activity and livelihoods in Kuppam and the surrounding region.
