Southern Andhra Pradesh’s Naidupeta Sees Rapid Industrial Development.

The Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Naidupeta in Tirupati district is witnessing a striking revival, driving both industrial growth and a subtle transformation of the local rural economy.

After remaining largely dormant for more than five years, the SEZ has become a hub of activity, with major investments in solar energy, electronics, and manufacturing — approved over the past two years under the Chandrababu Naidu-led NDA government — moving swiftly from planning to implementation.

Four villages — Dwarakapuram, Menakuru, Palachur, and Attivaram — home to nearly 28,000 residents, are at the heart of this transformation. Locals are already experiencing the tangible benefits of increased employment opportunities and economic activity, signaling a broader industrial and rural revival in southern Andhra Pradesh.
