Srikalahasthi Pipes bags orders worth Rs. 1,053 cr.
Srikalahasthi Pipes Ltd. has announced it has bagged orders worth Rs. 1,053 crore in December 2015 for the supply of ductile iron pipes.
G S Rathi, Whole Time Director, in a statement to the BSE informed that out of Rs. 1,053 crore, Rs. 891-crore worth orders are for Telangana Drinking Water Supply Project, known as 'Telangana Water Grid'.
These orders are mainly from major infrastructure companies which include L&T, NCC, Megha Engineering and Infrastructures, Indian Hume Pipes, and KLSR Infratech.
Supplies for this project will start immediately and be completed by March 2017. Considering the increased capacity of 285,000 tonnes per annum during 2016-17, the company is confident of executing the orders on time.
Pipes for the Telangana Water Grid will provide drinking water to 25,000 rural habitations and 67,000 urban localities of the 10 districts in the State, harnessing water from Godavari and Krishna rivers. The pipelines would run about 1.26 lakh km.
