Steel Strips wins Rs 1,100 mn export order

Mumbai: Steel Strips Wheels Ltd has said that it has received a Rs 110 crore order for supply of about one million steel wheel rims, over a period of five years, from French carmaker Renault.

This export order is for one of Renault's new vehicle to be produced in Europe. The company expects its exports to grow over 200 per cent in FY 08-09.

During the quarter ended March 31, 2008, the company registered a growth of 24.27 per cent in sales of wheels rims over the previous year.
