Sterlite Power Bags Orders Valued at ₹1,400 Crore in October-December Quarter
Sterlite Power, a prominent private sector power transmission infrastructure developer, announced on Tuesday that it has successfully secured new orders totaling ₹1,400 crore during the quarter concluding in December 2023. These orders span both domestic and export markets and encompass a variety of products such as high-performance power conductors, optical ground wire (OPGW), power cables, and more.
In addition to product orders, Sterlite Power revealed that it has also received requests for specialized Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services, along with turnkey EPC for extra high voltage (EHV) and high-voltage (HV) cables within the domestic market. These orders pertain to projects including metro infrastructure, data centers, and various power projects.
The CEO of Global Products & Services, Manish Agarwal, commented on the achievement, stating, "The order wins are indicative of the growing demand for our product offerings in India and export markets. With increased focus on decarbonisation, our range of high-performance conductors, HV and EHV cables, and specialized EPC services for cable transmission continue to make a significant impact in the energy transition journey."
Sterlite Power boasts a portfolio that includes 33 completed, sold, and ongoing power transmission projects, covering an extensive 15,350 circuit kilometers of transmission lines in both India and Brazil. The company stands at the forefront of contributing to the evolving landscape of power transmission and energy transition.
