Suez Environment acquires two firms to strengthen position in water industry.
Suez Environment, via its subsidiary Degremont, has acquired Poseidon, a Canadian company specialized in separation systems for industrial water treatment and B&V Group, a British company dealing in water treatment chemicals, equipment and services for industry.
These acquisitions are in line with Suez Environment's strategy to expand its industrial activity and reinforce its solutions for industrial clients around the globe.
Poseidon is a full-service equipment supplier which designs and manufactures a range of state-of-the-art, compact separator systems by flotation for industrial water treatment. B&V, on the other hand, manufactures and commercializes conditioning products and technical services for water related infrastructures including cooling circuits, boiler systems and effluent treatment.
According to BNC data, Degremont has won a couple of contracts in the Middle East region, which includes two desalination and waste water treatment contracts in Abu Dhabi and Muscat; and a desalination plant in Oman. Most recently, Degrémont, in consortium with its Japanese partner Marubeni Corporation, was awarded a contract to expand the Doha West wastewater treatment and recycling plant.
