Sukhjit Starch Secures Infrastructure Support for ₹550 Crore Maize Processing Plant in Nashik
Sukhjit Starch & Chemicals Limited has achieved a significant milestone in its proposed ₹550 crore maize-processing project at Yeola Industrial Area in Nashik district, Maharashtra. The company has received confirmation from the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) regarding essential infrastructure support for the upcoming facility.
The proposed plant will have a maize-processing capacity of 1,200 tonnes per day (TPD), producing maize starch and its derivatives for domestic and international markets.
MIDC has earmarked land for the project and confirmed arrangements for a dedicated water pipeline to ensure continuous water supply by the time the facility becomes operational.
The company had signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Maharashtra government in September 2026 for the project, initially estimated at ₹500 crore.
With the revised investment reaching ₹550 crore, the company expects to strengthen its manufacturing capabilities and market presence. The financing structure is yet to be finalised, while infrastructure development remains a critical implementation milestone
