Takeda Unveils Innovation Capability Centre in Bengaluru to Advance Patient Care.

Global biopharmaceutical company Takeda has inaugurated its Innovation Capability Center (ICC) in Bengaluru, aiming to hire over 750 professionals across various roles by the end of 2025.

The Bengaluru ICC will collaborate closely with Takeda’s other centers in Slovakia and Mexico to develop cutting-edge solutions that improve patient care. Leveraging advanced technologies such as AI, data analytics, and digital health platforms, the center will focus on creating tools to manage complex health conditions, multi-language platforms to enhance accessibility, and data-driven insights to refine healthcare strategies.

“These innovations accelerate the development of transformative treatments, improve patient engagement, and streamline healthcare operations, ensuring consistent, high-quality outcomes for patients,” said Tilak Banerjee, Head of Takeda ICC India.

Banerjee also emphasized Takeda’s commitment to fostering innovation through collaborations with local startups, universities, and research institutions. The company is actively working with organizations such as the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) to mentor and support healthcare entrepreneurs.

With the new center, Takeda aims to further its mission of delivering transformative healthcare solutions while strengthening its global innovation network.
