Tamil Nadu Secures ₹3,200 Crore in Investment from German Firms.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin's eight-day visit to Europe kicked off in Germany with the signing of multiple memorandums of understanding (MoUs) totaling over ₹3,200 crore in new investments. These deals are expected to create approximately 6,250 jobs across the state.
Among the key agreements, global braking systems company Knorr-Bremse announced its first major manufacturing investment in Tamil Nadu. The Munich-based firm will invest ₹2,000 crore to build a new facility for railway doors and braking systems. This project alone is projected to create about 3,500 jobs and is seen as a significant boost to Tamil Nadu's railway components and advanced engineering sectors.
Other major German companies that signed investment MoUs with the state include Nordex Group and ebm-papst.
