Rajasthan Cabinet Approves 2,300 MW Power Projects in Partnership with SCCL.

The Rajasthan Cabinet has approved the construction of 2,300 MW power plants-comprising 1,500 MW solar and 800 MW thermal units-through a joint venture between Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) and Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RRVUNL).

Rajasthan’s Power Minister Hiralal Nagar announced the decision during a meeting with Telangana Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Thursday.

Under the agreement, RRVUNL and Singareni will collaborate to produce 1,500 MW of solar power and 800 MW of thermal power, which, according to the minister, will play a key role in meeting the electricity needs of both states.
