"Tata Power Renewable scales up India’s green energy infrastructure with massive new Nellore plant."

Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL) has received approval to establish a greenfield 10 GW ingot and wafer manufacturing facility in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh, involving an investment of ₹6,675 crore.

State government officials said the proposed unit will be the largest ingot and wafer manufacturing facility in India and is expected to significantly strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s position as a major hub for advanced solar manufacturing.

The project was cleared by the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB), which is chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
