Tata Steel Eyes Significant Growth, Targets ₹7,000-crore GMV from 'Aashiyana'.

Tata Steel is looking to significantly expand its home-building e-commerce platform, 'Aashiyana,' by aiming to double its gross merchandise value (GMV) to ₹7,000 crore in the 2025-26 fiscal year. This ambitious target was revealed by a senior company official.

The steel giant is also planning a major strategic shift by considering the inclusion of non-Tata Steel products on the platform for the first time. This move would broaden its product portfolio and further cement its presence in the home-building market.

"All of the GMV on 'Aashiyana' currently comes from Tata Steel products, but we do plan to expand our offerings in the near future," said Ashish Anupam, Tata Steel's Vice President of Long Products, in an interview with PTI.

The 'Aashiyana' platform offers a wide range of building materials and services, serving both individual customers and large-scale construction projects. By adding products from other manufacturers, Tata Steel aims to make the platform a more comprehensive, one-stop shop for construction needs, driving its revenue growth and market reach.
