Tatas, Ambanis keen on investing in Yadagirigutta.

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has asked officials to start work on development of Yadagirigutta in a big way in a week or ten days and said that the Tatas, Ambanis, Genco and BHEL had evinced interest in investing up to Rs. 500 crore in creation of infrastructure.

Reviewing the development plan for the shrine at Yadagirigutta with officials recently, Mr. Rao said the government will convert the tank at Basavapur into a reservoir with water games and boating facilities.

It will come up on the lines of the Tank Bund in Hyderabad.

There should be four lanes around the hill and each road should have dividers, islands and footpath. The area should abound with trees. Sound system should be developed to promote religious fervour. About 1,000 acres around the hill should be converted into zones and layout prepared. He insisted that the works could commence immediately because the required land and funds were readily available. There were 15 acres of land on the hill, of which 5 acres will be for the main temple. The 32 forms of the presiding deity Laxminarasimhaswamy should be reflected in the form of models in the temple precincts. Mr. Rao said that all temples near Yadagirigutta should be developed.
