Taural India Commissions Second Aluminium Sand Casting Facility in Supa, Maharashtra.

Maharashtra-based aluminium casting manufacturer Taural India recently inaugurated its second aluminium sand casting facility in Supa, Maharashtra, expanding its production beyond its first plant in Pune and strengthening India’s advanced aluminium manufacturing ecosystem.

Spread over 30 acres, the new facility is designed to meet global engineering and sustainability benchmarks, incorporating automation, digital process controls, and advanced quality systems to produce complex, high-precision aluminium components. These components will cater to sectors including defence, mobility, energy, aerospace, marine, railways, and industrial infrastructure, the company said.

The plant is expected to significantly enhance Taural India’s manufacturing capacity, serving both domestic and international markets, and is projected to create over 1,200 direct jobs, along with indirect employment in logistics, services, and local supplier networks.

Speaking at the inauguration, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, “Taural India’s journey stands as a powerful example of how Indian entrepreneurs can build globally competitive, world-class manufacturing enterprises rooted in innovation, partnerships, and purpose. Facilities such as Supa also support growth beyond metro cities and the state’s long-term economic ambitions.”

Bharat Gite, Founder and CEO of Taural India, added that the facility “strengthens indigenous aluminium casting capability, creates skilled employment in regional markets, and demonstrates that Indian enterprises can build high-precision manufacturing at global standards while contributing meaningfully to local communities.”

The Supa plant follows a memorandum of understanding signed at the World Economic Forum in Davos in 2025 and marks a key step in decentralised industrial growth in Tier II and Tier III regions.
