The Telangana government has officially approved a substantial ₹8,528 crore investment by South Korean automotive giant Hyundai. The investment will establish a Global Innovation Research and Development Centre within the National Investment and Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ) in Zaheerabad.
A Ministerial Committee, specifically formed by the State government to promote industrial growth, formally sanctioned the proposed investment during its meeting held on Sunday.
The ambitious project is slated to span approximately 675 acres within the NIMZ and will feature state-of-the-art technology. According to official sources, the facility will include an automotive test track, pilot line, and advanced prototyping systems, among other key infrastructure elements, signifying a major boost to the region's industrial and technological landscape.
